drawing challenge 2014 – book by kwills

I have designed an art book for the multitalented artist and friend Kwills. This book contains all the daily drawings of him in 2014, 365 in total of raw art in total. The idea was to put all the artwork in a black & white design with a bit of a sketchbook feeling. This book was a limited edition of 100.

Kwills about this project:
On January 1st 2014, I started my daily drawing challenge and on December 31st 2014, it ended. The reason for this challenge was very personal because I needed to cope with my emotions and frustrations after my mom’s passing. During her illness and the aftermath of her passing I had no desire to draw at all. After several conversations with my close family it dawned upon me that drawing always brought me joy and peace of mind. This endeavour was truly a challenge to push and to prove myself I could pull this off and there were definitely times I wanted to give up and quit. I have come to realize that no matter how big or small your name is in this world always stay humble because in the end we are all just humans trying to find our way in life and make the most out of it.
